After some reflection, I think I understand the importance. As a couple you have to make a conscious effort to connect. It takes work, you can't get lazy in your life commitment. Just being in each others presence isn't always connecting.
I love my man very much. I never want to lose that desire to connect with him. He is and has been my family for a long time.
